If it is true ‘that history is destined to repeat itself’ then there are some difficult days ahead. Many are facing unemployment, abuse, emotional detachment, abandonment, and depression; and yet, this just begins to scratch the surface of our many dilemmas. If memory serves me correctly then there are some days of rejoicing to come as well.
The victories of the Lord are ever-present in my mind. I am strengthened when I see the dawning of a new day. I am refreshed to know that the Lord is still finding favor with me. Can you recall moment in time when you knew that the mercy of God had come to you? There is no other help I know than God! In my weakest moment or my darkest hour I rejoice to know that the same God who brought our of last years’ trials, is the same God to deliver us of out of the way of danger to come. If you are having difficulty recalling the good things that God has done, simply begin to write down all the times He blessed you. And, when you need to be reminded of just how good God is, take out your notes.
Prayer focus: Strength to get through the day.
