Join Jacquie Hood Martin in 2011 in a city near you for the life changing “How to Heal After the Reveal Series.”

Life sometimes is stranger than fiction and movies like Prince of Tides, Enough, Crooklyn, and Precious stir up unconfronted issues; areas in our lives that we suppressed. And now, “For Colored Girls” has done the same to this generation on screen as did the play on stage for generations past.

“How to Heal After the Reveal Series” will lead you not only be healed, but to become whole again. Personal. Private. Poignant. A confidential session with your girlfriend groups, a family intervention,  or fathers and husbands who need encouragement after the unthinkable affects a woman in your family. Jacquie Hood Martin has just the right mix of life experience and wisdom to help you get back to being you again. Seminar includes lunch and a copy of “Fulfilled! The Art and Joy of Balanced Living”.

    Good afternoon Ms. Hood Martin,

This series has been on mind since coming across it on the Hope Magazine website. I am a 37 yr old Christian African American female who has come to the realization that the past 10 years has been a blur. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety at the age of 27 after taking an overdose of Tynelol. I felt ashamed for a long time about this and in denial about how low I had gotten but not only that I hadn’t reached the lowest point. I never really dealt with it then and the ten years since I have just been existing, not truely living. I know that Jesus came that I could have life and have it more abundantly but I had a difficult time walking that out. I went though my late twenties and until now trying to let go of burdens that I didn’t have to carry. I felt ashame about not having “enough faith” to overcome this depression”. I was able to share that I suffered from depression to my pastor, his wife and an associate minister in my church but didn’t seek guidance or direction due to shame. I felt and was even told by other Christians that if I had enough faith I would be healed. There is more that I could say but I leave it at that for now. I am very much interested in attending luncheon, workshop and or study on this series. I live in the Washington, DC area. Thank you for taking the time and your ministry.

    Sincerely,

    Melissa
